: Senator Robert O’Leary on what’s next for the environment? EBC’s Government Affairs Committee proudly re-instates a continuing practice of dialogues with environmental leaders in our legislature.
Come and join us for a discussion with Senator Robert O’Leary, (D - Cape & Islands) the Vice Chair of the Joint Committee on State Administration and Regulatory Oversight and a member of the Joint Committee on Environment, Natural Resources and Agriculture. Since 2000, Senator’s O’Leary has been a leading voice for environmental issues in Massachusetts. In 2008, he sponsored and championed the landmark, first in the nation, Massachusetts Oceans Act. Now he is one of the leaders in the effort to implement a national ocean management policy, a need sadly manifested by current events in the Gulf of Mexico. Combined with his commitment to environmental issues, Senator O’Leary’s Vice-Chairmanship in State Administration and Regulatory Oversight gives him a unique perspective. Please join us to talk about implementation of ocean management, renewable energy and other state and national environmental priorities with Senator O’Leary.*
* As Sen. O’Leary is a candidate for the 10th Congressional District, the other 10th district candidates/campaigns are being invited to attend.
Unless otherwise noted, all EBC Committee meetings are for EBC members only, and their guests. There is no charge to attend this meeting.
