Woodard & Curran seeks a full-time entry level scientist to support the environmental consulting group in their White Plains, NY office or East Windsor, NJ office. Duties will include field work (logging soil borings, test pits, and monitoring wells), monitoring well installation and sampling, surface water and sediment sampling, contractor oversight, data management (spreadsheet and database), database maintenance, environmental literature searches/reviews, and report writing.
- BS or BA (MS preferred), with a strong background in chemistry, biology, geology, environmental science, or related field.
- 0-3 years experience in environmental consulting.
- Strong computer skills including Word, Excel, Access and database software preferred.
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- 40-hour OSHA training is a plus.
- Must be able to work independently, communicate effectively and balance multiple projects and tasks.
